Desert Night Music is the home of musician Steve Smith, duo partner Chris Sanders and the group Steve Smith Chris Sanders and Hard Road. Stories abound where the prairie meets the hills - modern/retro harmony and groove in original and traditional Americana and bluegrass.

Steve and Chris are proud to present this 100% original project featuring "the right players at the right time": Hard Road's own Aaron McCloskey on guitar, Banjo for Dummies author Bill Evans on banjo, veteran sideman (original David Grisman Quintet) Bill Amatneek on bass and Fiddle Star Megan Lynch. Also featuring appearances by fiddler Nate Lee, drummer Ruben Galvan and bassists Erik Unsworth, Erin Youngberg and Ashleigh Caudill.
